Hi! I’m a registered nurse working in South Korea, and I have been working as a nurse for 10 years.

During those 10 years, I spent six years working in the emergency department, where I gained extensive experience caring for a wide range of patients.

Outside of my professional work, I have a strong interest in dermatology, skincare, and aesthetic treatments.

Outside of work, one of my biggest interests is dermatology and aesthetic treatments.

I know that many international visitors come to Korea not only for travel, food, and K-beauty products, but also for dermatology and aesthetic procedures.

However, if you are visiting Korea from another country, choosing a clinic can be confusing.

Which clinic should I choose?

Is a cheaper treatment really the same treatment?

Will they use the full product?

Will I be pressured into purchasing expensive packages?

These are questions I would probably have too if I were receiving treatment in another country.

So I thought my own experience might be helpful, especially for international visitors considering aesthetic treatments in Seoul.

Today, I’d like to share my personal experience at Vands Clinic Hongdae, where I received Re2O treatment.

And there was one particular reason I decided to write about this clinic.

The price was so affordable that I actually became suspicious.

Seriously. 😂

Why Was Re2O So Affordable?

Recently, I became interested in Re2O and started comparing prices at different clinics in Korea.

Then I found the Re2O price at Vands Clinic Hongdae.

My first reaction wasn’t:

“Wow, that’s cheap!”

Instead, I thought:

“Wait… why is it this cheap?”

Usually, when it comes to dermatology treatments, people hesitate because the price is too high.

For me, this time it was the opposite.

The price was so affordable that I started wondering whether there might be a reason.

“Do they split one syringe between multiple patients?”

“Do they dilute or reconstitute it much more than usual?”

“Is this actually the same Re2O product I’ve been researching?”

I had already researched Re2O quite a bit before deciding to get the treatment.

So instead of booking based on price alone, I decided to visit the clinic and see for myself.

1. Arriving at Vands Clinic Hongdae — Cleansing First

After arriving at Vands Clinic Hongdae and checking in, I was first guided to wash my face.

After cleansing, I was told that I could receive a complimentary skin analysis.

But honestly, I had gone there with only one treatment in mind that day: Re2O.

So I said:

“No, thank you. I’ll skip the skin analysis.”

And that was it.

They didn’t pressure me to do it, which I appreciated.

2. Busy Clinic, but Surprisingly Calm

There were quite a lot of patients when I visited.

Anyone who has visited a popular aesthetic clinic in Korea probably knows that some clinics can become extremely busy.

The reception area can feel chaotic, especially during peak hours.

But despite the number of patients, the atmosphere here felt relatively calm during my visit.

The staff remained friendly and explained things patiently even though they were busy.

The clinic itself also looked clean and well organized.

Personally, I think these details matter.

Price and equipment are important, but the overall patient experience matters too.

3. “Can You Recommend an Affordable Trial Treatment?”

Next came the consultation.

To be clear, I originally went there only for Re2O.

But I was actually the one who asked:

“Is there anything else you would recommend that I can try once at an affordable trial price?”

Since I was already there, I thought I might try another treatment if there was something reasonably priced.

Surprisingly, I thought the consultation was quite good.

After I explained my budget and what I was looking for, they suggested options that fit within that range rather than immediately directing me toward expensive packages.

I remember thinking:

“Wow… they’re actually pretty good at recommending treatments.”

😂

Of course, if this was all part of an extremely sophisticated sales strategy…

Then Vands Clinic deserves some credit. lol.

But seriously, I was the person who asked for additional recommendations first.

During my visit, I personally didn’t feel pressured to purchase treatments I didn’t want.

4. Numbing Cream Right After the Consultation

Another small thing I appreciated was how quickly they started the numbing process.

As soon as my consultation was finished, they applied the numbing cream.

I didn’t have to finish the consultation, wait for a long time, get the numbing cream, and then wait all over again.

And they applied a generous amount.

A very generous amount. 😂

For injectable skin treatments where multiple injections are made across the face, pain is naturally something I worry about.

So personally, I appreciated this.

5. The Question I Really Wanted Answered: What Re2O Product Would They Actually Use?

Now there was only the actual treatment left.

And honestly, this was the part I had been most curious about.

“Are they really going to use one Re2O syringe for me?”

Because the treatment was priced so affordably, this had been my biggest concern before visiting.

I even wondered whether the product might be excessively diluted or divided in some way.

Of course, thinking about something at home and actually seeing what happens inside the treatment room are completely different things.

6. I Saw the Re2O Product and Preparation Process Myself

Fortunately, I was able to check this immediately before my procedure.

They showed me the Re2O product directly.

I was also able to watch the preparation process in front of me.

I even took photos at the time.

Seeing the actual product and watching it being prepared made a big difference.

I remember thinking:

“Oh… they really are using the product right here in front of me.”

😂

The concern I had because of the unusually low price was largely resolved at that point.

For me, this was probably one of the most reassuring parts of the entire experience.

7. The Clinic Director Personally Performed My Treatment

Another thing I liked was that the clinic director personally performed my procedure on the day I visited.

When I research aesthetic treatments, price is important.

But I also pay attention to who is actually performing the procedure.

Especially when someone is injecting a product directly into my face, I personally prefer to know which medical professional will be performing the treatment.

So I was satisfied with this part of my visit as well.

My Overall Experience

If I had to summarize my experience in one sentence:

“I went in suspicious because Re2O seemed almost too affordable, but I was able to see the product and preparation process myself before getting the treatment.”

That pretty much sums it up. 😂

However, I don’t think a treatment is automatically good just because it is cheap.

And I don’t think an expensive treatment is automatically better either.

My approach is simple.

If there is something I’m curious about, I ask.

If I want to know what product is being used, I ask.

If I’m curious about the amount, I ask before the procedure.

And if I want to know who will perform the treatment, I confirm that too.

For me, being able to directly check the things I had been worried about before the procedure was the most satisfying part of this experience.

This post is based solely on my personal visit and treatment experience. Prices, promotions, medical staff, products, and treatment protocols may change depending on when you visit. Please confirm the details directly with the clinic before receiving any medical or aesthetic procedure.
